When is the last time you read your own Agent Profile?
If you have to think about if for too long; then it is too long ago. Your profile is your interface with a potential client; many who may not have ever met you before, they may have seen your signs and advertisements, and just want to get an idea of who you are, what you’ve achieved, and more importantly, what you can do for them.
Real Estate.com.au has incorporated a link under your profile photo to your Agent profile on your website…it is very important that yours sounds professional and polished.
A good profile should deliver enough information about you, that someone who’s never heard of you, can gather something of value; however, it’s not “War and Peace”, so let’s keep it succinct and concise.
What should be in your profile?
- Professional yet friendly language;
- Brief mention of any awards/industry milestones (you want to sound successful but not egotistical);
- A clear indication of how your skill set and experience benefits your clients;
- A brief personal insight – eg: when not working Tom enjoys participating in equestrian events, as well as game fishing with his two young sons.
How often should you review your profile?
At the very least, annually; however, quarterly would be ideal, even if you don’t refresh it every quarter just have a read of it to ensure it’s still selling the message you want delivered. The more up-to-date your profile is, the better – fresh is best!
