Many Agents and/or Agencies email or distribute regular newsletters – these are usually monthly, quarterly or weekly. It is important to remember that the aim of the newsletter is to actually be read – it’s pointless sending out a high volume that no-one opens and engages with.
Tips to engage your readers:
- Keep the newsletter blurb concise and brief – people are time-poor and like to get their information in easy-to-digest chunks;
- Make sure you are topical with your information, for example, research what’s happening in your local community over the weekend and include a little bit of information about it – festivals, school fetes, sporting events;
- Ensure the information is of value to the target market – what benefit to the reader is this information providing?
- Proofread prior to sending.
